Today is day 15 of Ship30! Here are reflections from writing and shipping every day for 15 days.

  1. I think in questions. I’m not in search of answers when writing. I’m searching for questions.
  2. Writing and shipping every day are showing up for my future self.
  3. I naturally think in lists — they are easy. But framing an opinion takes work.
  4. It takes less time to go from a blank screen to a composed essay with each passing day.
  5. I thought I’d write more about my professional expertise (design, research, strategy, foresight). But they’re not the topics that are bursting out of me.
  6. I enjoy writing about self, career, and growth.
  7. I still feel unclear about what my topic niche is and what it can be.
  8. I give myself fewer excuses if I truly want to do something,
  9. I can feel my perfectionism fade away, but I’m still terrified of putting my thoughts out there.
  10. Writing is like exercising for me. Like a rush of endorphins on a tough day and tiring day.
  11. I struggle to take feedback when I’m not actively seeking it.
  12. The days I’m overthinking are the days I’m generally tired. Words don’t flow easily.
  13. The need to write something every day forces me to be more observant and intentional.
  14. Writing for myself (past, present, and future versions) is the best way I approach writing.
  15. Writing has made me a better thinker, strategist, and person.

I’m going to buy myself a bar of dark chocolate to celebrate this small win. What are you highlights from Ship30 so far?
